Going the Titanium Wedding Band Route
| Remember a couple of years ago when you had that friend who told you you should really invest in gold? Remember how he kept talking about how the market was going to shoot up in the next couple of years and you would get your investment pack tenfold? Bet you wish you listened to them, huh? In the last couple of years the price old gold has shot up to record levels. This means that if you put your investment down you are sitting rather pretty right now. Of course, that also means that if you are looking to buy something that has gold in it you aren't too happy. This is especially bad news for those who are looking to purchase wedding bands for their upcoming nuptials. While gold is one of the standard "go to" metals for wedding bands, couples aren't exactly looking to spend thousands of extra dollars on their rings. Luckily for them, there are plenty of titanium wedding bands out there. While titanium bands are mostly identified with men, the fact is that there are plenty of women out there who like the look of them as well. While it doesn't have the "traditional" look that gold has, there is something about titanium that just makes it stand out. It has almost an "industrial" look, something that matches spectacularly with a wide variety of gems. Since it is a uni-sex metal, both men and women are looking to use it in their wedding band, especially if they don't want to pay the price for straight gold rings. Of course, you can mix titanium with standard or rose gold to make a great looking ring which still will not be as expensive as straight gold. So how much money can you save by going to the titanium route instead of gold? It depends on the price at the time but you can expect to spend between $700 and $900 on a simple gold band, and that's before you add gems and personalization. While you can find titanium bands that can cost you upwards a thousand dollars (expect many a diamond and gem on them), you can also find simple one's for under $200. Because so many people are shying away from gold for their rings there are plenty of shops, both online and local, that offer a wide variety of titanium wedding bands for your special day. |
