| If you ask the average man what type of jewelry he would want to buy for himself he typically would give you a blank stare followed up with a shrug that just says "I don't know". If you asked the same man what type of jewelry his significant other likes, he could probably give you a full list of what she likes, dislikes, and for what holiday/ event she likes them for. The reason for this is simple, most guys out there buy a lot more jewelry for their significant others than they do for themselves. While this situation works wonderfully for you when it comes time to buy jewelry for your significant other, but when it comes time to look for your own wedding ring, you may find yourself in a little bit of a pickle. Here's the thing about buying yourself a wedding ring: it's not as big of a deal as you think it may be. Are you going to be wearing it for the rest of your life? Absolutely. But in the scheme of things, you should be worrying about the ring you are going to be getting for your wife. While a women's wedding ring will contain karat's worth of diamonds and complex designs, men's wedding rings are typically a bit simpler. In fact, tradition men's wedding rings typically feature nothing ore then a gold or silver band. Just because it's simple doesn't mean that you can just go with the first thing that you find, though. Finding the right wedding ring is all about doing your research and trying to find the piece that best encapsulates what you want. Let's face it: you may not want to do a lot of looking around, but the truth is if you don't do it then you will be sorry. You can take a look online to try and find what is available on the market, and then plan to visit four or five different jewelry stores to look at physical specimens of rings. You can do this in conjunction with trying to find rings for your wife was well. One quick note about price: you don't want to spend an arm and a leg on a men's wedding ring, but what you do want to do is spend your money wisely. Keep an eye out for deals that you can find on high quality rings so that you can get your cake and eat it too, so to say. |
