Learning to Play the Bean Bag Game
If you're looking for a new game to enjoy as summer turns into fall and being outside is more enjoyable for everyone - especially in the hottest parts of the country - why not learn to play the bean bag game? Some people also call it the Cornhole game, but the basic play is the same no matter what the title. You have a wooden or plastic board that is slanted and set on a base. There is a hole in it. You stand a specified distance from that hole and you throw weighted and filled cloth bags (they're not heavy) toward the target. If you get a bean bag to go through the hole you score points. You can also get points - although not as many - if you throw a bag which lands on any part of the board and remains there. Bags are not worth points if they miss the board or if they fall off once they hit. The first person to twenty-one points wins. The beauty of learning to play this game is that anyone can do it. If doesn't matter if you're a little kid or an elderly adult or anywhere in between. The game is just that easy. If you want, you can also make your own bean bag game. You can find instructions on the Internet that tells you how to do it, and it's not that difficult. A lot of people who really enjoy playing the game make their own, meaning that they have not only a fun time playing it but a sense of pride in what they've been able to create. If you're one of the people who would like to do that, make sure you find a Website with instructions that are easy to understand and that you know what you'll be doing before you get started. Have all your tools ready and get your supplies together. At that point you'll be ready to build your own bean bag game and have hours of fun playing it.
