| Buy used laptops online and save a bundle - get a mac ibook for only $268. I have had a 12" iBook G4 since 2005 and it's still my favorite notebook for skimming the Net, writing letters, and even reading pdf's. nnIt's extraordinarily light-weight and I consider the screen the ideal size. Actually, I'm using it right now to write this review. Given a choice between a new Asus or Dell netbook or a second user iBook G4 for a similar price, I would take the G4 without brooding about it for a second. nnIt has all you need, in a little bit compact machine. nnThis iBook G4 works just too and if you're attempting to find a good, miniscule computer, this is the one for you. The sole complaint I do have is that the CD-drive doesn't work ( but it's probable a discussion on just my machine ). It has an airfield surprising card, which permits access to any 802.11g / b compatible wireless network ( which most wireless networks are ). The drive is sixty gigs and the optical drive is a DVD+ / -RW drive. The WiFi capability is really useful and the small form factor is terribly pleasant to take around traveling. The battery appears to hold a charge for 2+ hours. It works beautifully for basic use ( faculty, work, reading the web, for instance. ). I've had completely no difficulty with mine, and would highly advocate this product to everyday users. I've seen two bad reviews simply because users bought this PC with the intention to make it their "gaming" PC, and then were disappointed with the result. If you actually wish to have a gaming PC, you possibly should not be taking a look at portables in the initial place. nnIt is a great computer at a fair cost. If you need something for work, faculty, and browsing the internet, it's perfect. I got this thing utilized a few years back ; now, I'm a sixteen year old, and my first use for PCs is writing, storing my photos, and gaming. This portable is rather good ( particularly for the price ) for the initial two of my purposes, except for gaming, it was way, well below par. We had to buy countless upgrades for it to even run Warcraft on top of my photographs ( they take up plenty of memory ). It works amazingly for basic use ( faculty, work, browsing the web, and so on. ). I've had no difficulty with mine, and would highly commend this product to everyday users. nnIf you actually wish to have a gaming PC, you most likely should not be taking a look at computers in the initial place. It is a great PC at a fair cost. If you just need something for work, college, and surfing the web, it's perfect. Buy used laptops online with confidence...hurry supplies are limited. |
