| I found one of the best places to buy laptops - get a mac ibook for only $268. I have had a 12" iBook G4 since 2005 and it's still my favourite notebook for skimming the Net, writing letters, and even reading pdf's. nnIt's extraordinarily light-weight and I consider the screen the perfect size. In fact, I am using it at this time to write this review. Given a choice between a new Asus or Dell netbook or a second user iBook G4 for an analogous price, I would take the G4 without brooding about it for a second. nnIt has all you need, in a little , compact machine. nnThis iBook G4 works just too and if you're attempting to find a good, miniscule PC, this is the one for you. The only complaint I do have is that the CD-drive does not work ( but it's likely an argument on just my machine ). It has an airfield surprising card, which allows access to any 802.11g / b compatible wireless network ( which most wireless networks are ). The drive is 60 gigs and the optical drive is a DVD+ / -RW drive. The WiFi capability is truly useful and the little form factor is terribly pleasing to take around traveling. The battery seems to hold a charge for 2+ hours. It works beautifully for basic use ( faculty, work, browsing the Net, for instance. ). I have had completely no difficulty with mine, and would highly advocate this product to everyday users. I have seen two bad reviews simply because users bought this PC with the intention to make it their "gaming" computer, and then were disenchanted with the result. If you actually would like to have a gaming computer, you most likely shouldn't be having a look at portables in the initial place. nnIt's a great computer at a fair cost. If you need something for work, faculty, and browsing the Net, it's perfect. I got this thing utilized one or two years back ; now, I'm a sixteen year old, and my first use for PCs is writing, storing my photographs, and gaming. This cartable is rather good ( particularly for the price ) for the initial 2 of my purposes, except for gaming, it was way, well below par. We had to buy numerous upgrades for it to even run Warcraft on top of my photographs ( they take up plenty of memory ). It works stunningly for basic use ( faculty, work, browsing the web, for example. ). I've had no difficulty with mine, and would highly commend this product to everyday users. nnIf you really would like to have a gaming PC, you most probably shouldn't be having a look at PCs in the first place. It is a great PC at a fair cost. If you simply need something for work, college, and browsing the net, it's perfect. Places to buy laptops...hurry supplies are limited. |
