Now, when the tumor multiplies and spreads to other parts of the body, lots of healthy tissues are also affected. This is usually referred to as metastasis . Thus, one can simply say that cancer is the ultimate result of cells that grow uncontrollably in the human body. Such cells usually refuse to die. Ordinary, the healthy cells of the human body do follow a process of growth, division and death. But cancerous cells do not die. Instead they expand, grow and divide as dangerous tumors in the affected area of the body. However some types of cancer can be treated in the early stage. There are variety of cancer treatment available depending upon the cancer type and age. Side Effects of Cancer Cancer causes lots of side effects in the human body. It leads to malignant and dangerous tumors in the affected area of the body. It also causes great harm to the body especially as the cancerous cell begins to divide uncontrollably in the human body. In most cases, the cancer tumors as they begin to grow and divide can easily interfere with the normally body processes such as digestive system, nervous system, blood circulation and so on. This can be very dangerous to the individual involved. Again, cancer can lead to death when it fails to be treated. Many people have gone to their early graves as a result of cancer. In the year 2007 alone, reports have it that cancer terminated the lives of about 7.8 million people the world over. In any case, cancer can be effective treated especially if it's discovered at the initial stages. It's always important for everyone to be very observant concerning his or body.
