One of the best things you can do when you're about to get a franchise is to consult a lawyer. You want to make sure that you're doing things the right way, that you're not being cheated, and that your rights are being protected. If you're unsure about any of these things or don't feel as though you're being treated the right way, it's better to pick a different franchise rather than just go ahead with something that could be dangerous for you. You'll also need to be aware of exactly what kinds of payments you have to make to the franchise, for how much, and for how long. These will take up a lot of your profit, and they have to be paid to continue to operate the franchise. You also have to pay employees, train them properly, and make sure that you comply with all franchise policies. You'll need training, too, in how to run the franchise correctly. It's always wise to ask about that before you sign anything, so that you don't end up owing more money than you expected.
